Ayurveda is one of the most ancient and effective methods to treat skin and hair related problems. A common and highly concerning skin disorder is acne. Causes ranging from consuming too many oily foods, to over usage of cosmetics, to stress, acne is a difficult problem to control, yet Ayurveda provides with the best remedies in order to hold it off.
Following are 7 simple Ayurveda remedies for acne:
1.Honey and Lemon juice:
Mix tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice with 1 tbsp of honey, and apply it on the affected spot. Keep it on for 10 minutes and rinse off. Continue this for a week, to find effective results.
2.Basil (Tulsi) paste:
If you have fresh basil leaves, directly make a paste out of it. If you are using the dried one, keep them in a little warm water for a few minutes, and prepare a paste. Apply this paste on the face for 10 minutes, thrice each week.
This works wonders for your face and provides it a natural bleaching glow. Apply potato juice/grated potato/slices directly on your acne. Keep it on the face for 10 minutes, and wash off.
Ground some cloves, but be careful as the clove oil might give some burning sensation on your face. Use it with milk or water, and test it before applying on major areas on the face. In 10 minutes, rinse off your face, and see the results.
Rub garlic on the infected area, or combine it with yogurt as a face pack. Garlic is a form of antibiotic and helps cure acne naturally.
The white milk that comes out of the skin of a raw papaya is a great treatment for acne. It is a sticky liquid, that needs to be applied on the face, and if used on a regular basis, it can do wonders.
7. Neem Leaves:
Prepare a paste out of neem leaves, and apply it on the targeted spots. Keep it on for at least 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off. Neem is known for its medicinal value and is extremely useful in curing skin related problems.
