Avoiding spinal pain for too long can cause severe damage and can also become a tough problem to deal with. Advanced medical science approach, however, can help in dealing with the issue but it doesn’t offer any long-term benefits. Ayurveda, on the other hand, can help in lowering down the pain while providing long-term benefits. Instead of running to a physician every time you experience spinal pain, try these ayurvedic treatment for spine pain.
Exercising on a daily basis can help in decreasing your spinal pain. Try out partial crunches as it can help in strengthening your back as well as stomach muscles. Repeat partial crunches 8-10 times to attain maximum benefits.
2. Hot Water
Hot water can help in relieving the tormenting pain with ease. Boil water and pour it in hot water bag. Place it on the back and relax. Be ensure that the water is touchable.
3. Coconut Oil & Camphor
Coconut oil with camphor can help in relieving the pain and the redness if there is any. Prepare a mixture of coconut oil and camphor by boiling camphor in coconut oil. Allow it to cool and store it in a container afterward. Massage with this ointment twice a week before bedtime.
4. Eucalyptus Oil
Heat water and add a few drops of eucalyptus oil. Take a bath when the water is lukewarm. It will help in reducing the backache as well as body pain.
5. Mustard Oil
Mustard oil is known to relieve pain. Heat mustard oil and gently massage with oil after it’s lukewarm. It will reduce the amount of experienced pain.
6. Ginger Tea
Cut fresh roots of ginger to form a paste and add a few drops of eucalyptus oil in it. Apply this paste on the affected area.
You can also prepare ginger tea by cutting a ginger root. Boil it in water and allow it to reach room temperature. Add a dash of honey to add the flavor and consume it thrice a day to see visible results.
Rice can help in relieving the pain easefully. Fill a sock with rice and tie a knot. Heat the rice sock in a microwave and allow it to reach room temperature. Place it on the aching area and relax. Allow the heat to work and reduce pain.
8. Epsom Salt
Epsom salt bath is considered as one of the most soothing baths as it helps in relaxing the muscles and relieves pain. Run a bath with lukewarm water and mix Epsom salt in it. Relax in that water and try to pour it on your back as many times as possible. Repeat this at least twice a week.
You can also make a paste of Epsom salt with hot water. Soak a towel in it and squeeze out any excess water. Put it on your back and focus on the areas you struggle with. It will also help in reducing the swelling if there is any.
Opposite to heat, the ice pack is an excellent home remedy to relieve pain. Take a few ice cubes in a plastic bag and place it on the aching area.
